I am trained in the IFS and EMDR therapy models and also employ somatic techniques in my work with clients. I combine these methods to create a tailored experience for each client. Read on for an overview of these techniques.

IFS

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is the foundation of my work as a therapist. IFS is more than just a therapeutic approach—it’s a profoundly transformative way of understanding ourselves. IFS sees us as made up of many “parts,” each with its own voice, role, and story. Some parts protect us, others hold pain, and at the core of it all is our Self—our most authentic, compassionate, and wise presence.

For me, IFS isn’t just a modality I use with clients; it’s a practice that has deeply shaped my own life. It’s given me a way to approach my inner world with kindness and curiosity, transforming the way I relate to myself and others. I do my best to share this experience with my clients and guide them to feel the power of reconnecting with your Self. My passion is in supporting you as you explore your inner world, embrace all your parts, and uncover the strength and wisdom that’s already within you.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a highly effective, evidence-based therapy designed to help people heal from trauma and other challenging experiences. Our brains are naturally wired to process and store experiences, but when something overwhelming happens, those memories can get “stuck,” leaving us feeling anxious, triggered, or weighed down by negative beliefs.

EMDR works by activating the brain’s neural networks—the pathways where memories and emotions are stored—through gentle bilateral stimulation, like guided eye movements. This process allows your brain to reprocess distressing memories so they lose their emotional intensity, freeing you from their grip.

What’s unique about EMDR is its flexibility. It works beautifully as a standalone approach, offering powerful healing on its own. At the same time, it can be seamlessly integrated into Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, combining the strengths of both modalities. By weaving EMDR into an IFS framework, we can deepen the healing process—helping not only to reprocess painful memories but also to care for the protective and wounded parts of you that have carried the burden for so long.

Whether on its own or integrated with IFS, EMDR is a profound tool for creating lasting change. I’m passionate about guiding clients through this process and witnessing the incredible transformations it can bring.

SOMATIC TECHNIQUES

Somatic techniques focus on the deep connection between the body, mind, and emotions, helping clients understand and regulate their nervous systems. When the nervous system becomes dysregulated—whether from stress, trauma, or overwhelm—it can leave us feeling stuck, reactive, or disconnected.

By tuning into the body’s sensations and recognizing patterns of activation (fight, flight, freeze), somatic work helps bring the nervous system back to a state of calm and balance. This regulation provides the foundation for emotional resilience, clarity, and a sense of safety.

I incorporate these techniques into my practice, creating a supportive space for you to reconnect with your body, process emotions more effectively, reduce stress, and rediscover your inner strength.
